Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

“Kia ora and welcome to James Erskine Public School

Our school is built on relationships — the way we greet one another, listen with care, and work together for the wellbeing and learning of every child. I believe that when students feel safe, seen, supported and loved, they can achieve remarkable things.

At JEPS, we aim to grow confident, kind, and curious learners who not only do their best, but are their best — for themselves and for others. Our teachers are passionate about creating classrooms where every student’s strengths are recognised, where mistakes are part of learning, and where joy and achievement sit side by side.

We are proud of our diverse community and the values that unite us — respect, connection, and care. Whether you are a long-time member of our school family or new to the Erskine Park area, I warmly welcome you to share in our journey.

As we prepare to welcome all of Erskine Park into our enrolment area, our vision is to continue building a strong, connected community school — one where families feel a deep sense of belonging and pride, and where every child is inspired to learn, lead, and thrive. Together, we are shaping a future that reflects the heart and spirit of Erskine Park.”
